About InsuredTruck.com
Plain-English guidance on commercial trucking insurance for Texas operators. Every requirement cited to the FMCSA regulation or Texas statute behind it. No generic comparisons. No guesswork.
What This Site Does
InsuredTruck.com publishes plain-English guides to commercial trucking insurance: what each coverage does, what the FMCSA and Texas actually require, what published insurer data says coverage costs, and how to find and vet a licensed agent who knows trucking.
Three commitments shape everything on the site:
- Every requirement is cited. When we state a liability minimum or a filing rule, we link the regulation behind it: 49 CFR 387, the Texas Transportation Code, the TDLR rules, the TxDMV handbook.
- No made-up numbers. The only premium figures on this site come from insurers that publish their methodology, and they live on one cost page with the source and date attached. If we cannot substantiate a number, we do not publish it.
- Written for people who run trucks. The guides assume you know your own operation and skip the filler. If a page would make an owner-operator roll their eyes, we rewrite it.
We are building a referral network of licensed Texas trucking agents. When it opens, quote requests submitted here will be shared with those professionals, and this page will explain exactly how that works and how we are paid. Until then, the site is a reference: read the guides, then take what you learn to a licensed agent.
Who Runs This Site
InsuredTruck.com is published by Analytics Blueprint LLC and run by Ryan England.
I have spent six years running paid acquisition for a multi-state auto insurance company. That is where I learned how this industry prices and sells, how leads actually move, and how much of what operators find online is written to rank rather than to inform.
Guides on this site are drafted by the InsuredTruck.com editorial team and reviewed by me before they publish. I check each one against the regulation or published source it cites: 49 CFR Part 387, the Texas Transportation Code, TxDMV and TDLR rules, or FMCSA guidance. Where a claim could not be substantiated, it does not run.
I am not a licensed insurance agent. I do not quote, bind, or sell coverage, and nothing on this site is insurance advice. If that changes, this page will say so. Until then, take what you read here to a licensed agent before you make a coverage decision.
Where We Fit (and Where We Do Not)
Transparency matters. Here is what InsuredTruck.com is not:
- We are not an insurance company. We do not underwrite, issue, or manage insurance policies.
- We are not an insurance agency or broker. We are not licensed as an insurance producer in any state.
- We do not provide insurance advice. The information on our site is educational. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a licensed professional.
All insurance products referenced on this site are offered and sold by independent licensed insurance professionals. They are responsible for their own regulatory compliance, the accuracy of their quotes, and the policies they issue.
Why We Focus on Commercial Trucking
Most insurance comparison sites treat commercial trucks the same as passenger vehicles. They don't account for FMCSA filing requirements, cargo classifications, DOT authority types, or the difference in risk profiles between a dump truck running gravel in Houston and a flatbed hauling steel on I-35.
We built InsuredTruck.com specifically for commercial trucking operators because generic insurance marketplaces miss the details that matter in this industry: BOC-3 filings, BMC-91X certificates, operating authority requirements, and the coverage gaps that can shut down an operation.
We started with Texas because it is one of the largest commercial trucking markets in the country, with unique risk factors including Gulf Coast hurricane exposure, extreme summer heat, high-traffic border crossings, and long-haul distances that require specialized underwriting.
Compliance and Privacy
We take compliance seriously:
- Privacy rights honored. We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and applicable federal privacy regulations. You can opt out of data sales at any time.
- Consent revocation. You can stop communications at any time by texting STOP, clicking unsubscribe, or contacting us. We process opt-out requests within 10 business days.
